A spot for VicRoads Custom Plates. Personalised number plates burst out of animated explosions of kittens, flowers and colour, each plate its own little world, before landing on the vplates.com.au sign-off.
We animated it with agency Marmalade for Custom Plates' presence at the 2018 Grand Prix. Marmalade supplied layered artwork files from an approved storyboard, we sent through colour explosion tests for sign off, then built six explosion animations into a 30 second cut with supers at the end.
The client liked the explosions enough to run them on their own, so we also output each of the six as a standalone piece with its own end super, plus a second version of the 30 with new supers, all finished to the specs for the Grand Prix screens.
