The Water Well Foundation

We were honoured to create a short film for the Water Well Project, capturing the inspiring journey of Elizabeth, a Sudanese migrant who overcame incredible challenges after suffering a stroke. With the foundation’s support, she was able to navigate the complexities of the Australian healthcare system with confidence and ease. Shot over four days on location and in the studio, this project was a deeply rewarding experience for our team. It was a privilege to bring Elizabeth’s story to life and highlight the vital work the Water Well Project does in supporting those in need. Elizabeth's film was one of a series of four we made with the Water Well Project. In a South Melbourne studio we filmed four doctors as the key speakers for the series, using props like a large model set of teeth and a blood pressure machine for b-roll. We then spent a day with Elizabeth and her family at home in Sunbury, and filmed a child development session for multicultural parents at a primary school playgroup in Noble Park. First drafts went out as pieces to camera with graphics so the structure could be locked before we layered in the b-roll.
