Three films for Platypus Junction early learning centres, made with agency Iezzi, plus a showreel for the Mulgrave centre. Centre directors, room leaders and educators speak on camera about school readiness, learning, and what it's like to work at Platypus Junction, cut against bright, sunlit footage of kids at play in the centre's gardens and sandpits. One series speaks to three audiences: families choosing a kinder, parents wanting to know how their children learn, and educators thinking about joining the team. A stills shoot captured the same warmth for use across the brand.
The interviews were filmed on a half-day shoot at the Mulgrave centre, and the three edits grew out of that one session. We shared the transcripts with Iezzi in Simon Says so they could highlight the lines they wanted, which made building the first cuts much quicker than trading timecodes by email. Earlier shoots across the centres were planned around the children's routines and the natural light, and that footage fed the b-roll. From the staff film we also cut short square snippets for social, each a ten second comment with supers and the logo, to help with recruiting.
