Hassell: Values

A corporate values film for Hassell, made by the Melbourne video production team at Kilogram. Company value films are notoriously dry and corporate, so we set out to make an energetic, engaging film that represented the Hassell brand. We were also lucky enough to travel to Singapore, Hong Kong, London and Shanghai in the process. The brief was to let Hassell's own people articulate the values to each other in an authentic way. So rather than staged interviews down the barrel, we told individual stories from the point of view of Hassell staff, filmed in their own studios, starting in Melbourne and Sydney. The approach mixed high production values with a fly on the wall, documentary feel. To make that work across several countries we packed a travelling kit: cameras, a Ronin gimbal for moving shots, a drone for establishing shots and LED panels to light the interviews.
